Bequests
A gift in Will is a bequest to Wildlands League on behalf of yourself or in memory of someone important to you. It can be made in two ways:
Residual Bequest
Wildlands League receives a percentage of the remainder or residue of your estate after other specific legacies have been fulfilled. This gift will be used where it’s needed most. Residual Bequests are preferred by many people, as it keeps in line with inflation and does not lose value over time.
Specific Bequest
Wildlands League receives a specific dollar amount or a gift in kind (collections, art, books, jewelry, and so on). Gifts in kind will be sold and proceeds will be used to safeguard nature where it’s needed most.

Leaving a gift in Will is simple – it only takes a few sentences. When meeting with your lawyer to draft or update your Will, the following information will be helpful:

CODICIL
A Codicil is a document used to make minor changes to an existing Last Will and Testament. This document is used when the person who created the Will, known as the Testator, does not want to create an entirely new Will to make minor changes, such as adding, deleting, or changing an existing provision.
